Block B–Ballet & Jazz

We’re so excited to welcome you to Block B at Legacy! This training block is designed for dancers ages 7–9 (+/-) who are ready to deepen their technique and take on new challenges in the studio!

This 2-hour weekly block includes:

Ballet (Required for Jazz) – The heart of a dancer’s technique! Ballet develops alignment, balance, strength, and grace. This portion of class lays the technical foundation dancers will use across all other styles.
Jazz – A high-energy, expressive class that builds on ballet principles while adding dynamic movement, rhythm, and performance quality.

While Ballet is required in order to take Jazz, dancers have the option to take the Ballet portion on its own if they are not yet ready to commit to the full two-hour block.

Registration opens Tuesday June 17th. Take advantage of a 25% tuition discount by registering for the 2-hour block under “2025-2026 BLOCK SCHEDULE” in the Parent Portal. Can’t commit to both hours? Your dancer can register just for Ballet under “2025-2026 INDIVIDUAL CLASSES.”

Looking to round out your training? We highly recommend adding:

Acro 1 (Wednesday 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM) – This class focuses on strength, flexibility, and safe progressions of acrobatic movement. It’s a great complement to the Jazz and Ballet training in Block B, especially for dancers eager to build more power and body control.

L.I.F.T (Wednesday 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM) – An open technique class centering on Leaps, Inversions, Flexibility, and Turns. This dynamic 90 minute class is designed to elevate dancers’ technique by focusing on powerful leaps, controlled inversions, enhanced flexibility, and refined turns. Through specialized training, dancers will build strength, coordination, and fluidity, bridging strength and artistry to take their skills to the next level. Perfect for those looking to expand their acrobatic and dance abilities with precision and confidence!
